Hi Ghort, I stumbled across you're blog, and was surprised to see you talking about my song! I'll tell you the whole story behind that piece. I had written an instrumental piece, and it was too repetitive for vocals. I had a short wave radio with a cassette recorder/player built in. I use to stay up late and just dial-in different channels, to see what I could pick-up. I was actually trying to find some wacky Evangelist, as I was going through my Cabaret Voltaire phase, and really dug the way they used religious samples with doomy electro. Anyway, one night this weird guy came over the short wave loud & clear, I believe he was Filipino, and I taped about 5 minutes worth of his crazy talk. About halfway through, another voice told him to get off the airwaves, or they would report him to the FCC. I cut that part out, but that's why he responds with the "talk nice guys, etc." I think he was mocking the the other radio users. To me, he sounds drunk out of his skull! I don't think he was out in the ocean,(filipino monkey article). It sounded very close by, more like a CB radio cutting in. The weird spacey sounds throughout that song are also from the same night. I don't know the orgin, but you can pick up strange frequency sounds on the short wave. Take it easy, Len Del Rio, formally of Pressurehed, currently in Anubian Lights. www.myspace.com/pressurehed

I have had such a great tradition of listening to things in various orders. I need to get back into that again.

Aliases are indeed somehow slowly slipping away as more and more online enterprises seek to figure out how to squeeze a profit from people randomly doing stupid things and/or talking about stupid things. In one sense, I like that it means "sexxylatinachica3993" and its ilk is on the way out. But, of course, it also means that "Quarex" and "Ghort" are much less likely to have their own analogs to 12-year-olds in 2050.

This site offers exactly what you are describing.

It aggregates all social data from everyone you want! All of you have to do is either add them if they're on friend feed or create a "virtual friend" by manually entering all of their feeds. (Bonus points for not making everyone sign up for a new service -- you can use it for everyone without them using it.)
